What is CoolSculpting?
Coolsculpting is one of the most popular non-invasive fat-reduction procedures that has completely taken the world by storm. This treatment helps freeze away unwanted fat with no surgery and often no downtime at all.
How does it work?
The CoolScupting treatment begins with a targeted cooling machine that focuses and cools the area you want to lose fat in. We control the cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin in the area you want. Treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells.
Can I multitask during treatment?
Yes! CoolSculpting is a procedure that requires no surgery or sedation. Many of our patients like to check their email, browse the internet, or just sneak in a little nap during the half-hour long sessions.
How cool is CoolSculpting?
As the name suggests, the CoolSculpting procedure can feel a little chilly. Controlled cooling is delivered via an applicator to freeze the targeted fat. Though you may feel intense cold initially, this feeling usually subsides within 5 to 10 minutes as the area numbs. Because the applicators use a vacuum to draw fatty tissue into the applicator cup, you may also feel some pulling, tugging, and/or mild pinching. This usually goes away after the area numbs.
Where does the fat go?
Your fat cells are frozen and die. Then they are eliminated through your body’s normal waste channels. Your results will keep progressing and your best results are usually seen between 1-3 months after your treatment.
