Cellulite Reduction Treatment in Bend, Eugene, Roseburg and Albany, OR

What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite forms due to the fibrous connective cords that tether the skin to the underlying muscle. In women these connective tissue bands are like vertical bars, trapping pockets of fat between them. The fat trapped by these tight bands pushes upward against the skin, creating lumps on the surface, next to depressions where the connective tissue is separating the fat beneath. This creates the orange peel look of cellulite. And it only gets worse as we age and our skin thins. Thinning skin can increase the appearance of cellulite.

Cellulite is quite common, with 90% of women having some degree of cellulite on their thighs and/or backside during some point of their lives. The cause of cellulite is not due to someone being over weight. They may be at their target weight with high muscle mass and still experience cellulite. Cellulite is often genetic related.

How Does BTL Exilis Ultra Reduce The Appearance Of Cellulite?

Because the trapped pockets of fat cells are what create the dimpled appearance of cellulite, by shrinking the fat cells and tightening the skin, BTL Exilis Ultra reduces the appearance of cellulite. As the radiofrequency energy and the ultrasound waves bombard the fat cells under the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin, these combined energies overheat the fat cells, causing them to shrink.

This causes some fat cells to break down, as well. Plus, by triggering new collagen production, the skin tightens down, further improving the looseness that exacerbates the appearance of cellulite. In addition we’re reducing the appearance of cellulite by massaging the skin with the cellulite hand piece. We can create a temporary reduction by breaking down the connective tissue.

Who Is A Good Candidate For Cellulite Reduction With Exilis Ultra?

BTL Exilis Ultra is not a weight-loss procedure. It is a skin tightening procedure that lessens the appearance of cellulite. It is important for the patient to have good elasticity in her skin, so that it is able to tighten down. Patients need to have realistic expectations, as there is no miracle cure for cellulite. BTL Exilis Ultra reduces the appearance of cellulite, as you can see from our before and after gallery, but it cannot eliminate the fibrous bands that are the root of the problem.

How Many Exilis Ultra Treatments Will I Need?

Every patient responds differently to these treatments. You’ll see noticeable skin tightening after just a session or two, but we generally recommend 6-10 treatments to achieve the results you seek. Some patients opt for more than that. You can have two BTL Exilis Ultra cellulite sessions per week.

When Will I See Results From My Exilis Ultra Treatments?

It takes the body at least 90 days to produce new collagen in the treatment areas. You’ll notice initial tightening as the existing collagen remodels and the overheated fat cells shrink. At 3-4 months, you should really notice a difference in the appearance of your cellulite.

How Long Will My Results Last?

The skin tightening and fat cell shrinkage that result from BTL Exilis Ultra treatments typically lasts up to 12 months. The reason these results are not permanent is because your body continues to produce less and less collagen naturally over time. To extend your results, maintenance treatments should be done every 12 weeks. Some clients with more prominent cellulite may opt to come in every 6 weeks.
